About ETIC

ETIC - IRIN Training and Innovation Centre

ETIC is the Centre of the IRIN Research Infrastructure, located in Rome, and encompasses both physical, remote and virtual components. It is dedicated to fostering training and innovation in brain research, modeling, natural and artificial intelligence and neurorobotics. The training and innovation activities of IRIN are carried out by the CNR-ISTC (Institute for Cognitive Sciences and Technologies), an interdisciplinary Institute that fosters integration across laboratories and research areas.

The IRIN School in Computational Neuroscience and Neurorobotics (ESCN) is a digital training initiative designed to empower researchers with skills in brain science, AI, and robotics. It is hosted by IRIN and delivered through high-quality online Modules. It is supported by the ETIC innovation centre and overseen by the ETHICo Committee to ensure scientific excellence.

The School Context

ETHICo

is the committee that oversees ESCN, ensuring high scientific standards and collaborative governance across IRIN's partners.

ETHIC (EBRAINS Training, Human-AI Research and Innovation Centre)

is the central hub for training and innovation, offering both digital and in-person programs to foster real-world applications and tech transfer.

Objectives of Schools

Mission: Train researchers in brain science, AI, and neurorobotics through interdisciplinary education.

Hands-on Learning: Practice with computational modeling, robotics applications, and data analysis.

Innovation Hub: Translate scientific discoveries into real-world technologies.

Community & Networking: Connect students with academia and industry leaders.

Lifelong Learning: Encourage continuous, flexible education across all career stages.
